With all our diverse strengths we founded the Pemberton Arts Council, a non-profit organization with a mandate to create an environment for the advancement of the arts in our community. The mandate of the Pemberton Arts Council, envisioned a 'Heritage Style Building' within the centre of town, which would start as a professionally run Art Exhibit Gallery. This would then develop into a 'Center of the Arts'to recognize emerging artists and performers within our community. The Pemberton Arts Council mission is to inspire and assist local artists, to increase access to artistic and cultural experience in the Pemberton and Lil'wat Lands, and to place culture in its proper place as one of the three foundations (culture, science, spirit) for social and economic progress in the region.
